The Experience exhibition, May 1966, was a “group experiment” by Jerry Burchard, Steven Arnold, Sharon Gray, Chris Gray, and Phil Perkis “to translate hallucinatory terms to visual results.  The photographs represent the interesting beauties revealed by the eye among 5 people over a 12 hour period” in which the artists “take hallucinogenic drugs and collectively document the experience.”
