The School appears on Russian Hill, 1926

The California School of Fine Arts (now known at the San Francisco Art Institute) moved to its current location at 800 Chestnut Street in 1926, in a new building designed by Bakewell and Brown, architects of S.F. City Hall, Coit Tower, Pasadena City Hall, Hoover Institution Tower, Temple Emanu-el, and many landmark buildings in the city, California, and the U.S.
