SFAI "Back to School" via A&F photo shoot, the Quad, Studios, 16mm Films, & V. Vale RE/Search

The 2001 Abercrombie and Fitch “Back to School” clothing catalog featured a mock university with students returning to a fictional campus complete with pompons, poetry readings, shenanigans, and hijinks. Also included is a reading list, “Hit the Books,” featuring noted North Beach RE/Search V.Vale’sReal Conversations: No. 1 The Death of Independent Everything.One of A&F’s locations for its campus settings was SFAI---the Quad, the studios, and the 16mm film collection safely nestled away in the School’s Tower.
