A gathering in SFAI’s MacMillan Conference Room during the stabilizing conservation of Jay De Feo’s The Rose which had been housed in this room since 1970.  The Whitney Museum of American Art would use The Rose as its signature painting for its Beat Culture and the New America exhibition in 1995/1996.
