SFAI, with Phil Linhares as Gallery Director, did 2 exhibitions with Chicago’s Hairy Who group of artists that included Jim Nutt, Gladys Nilsson, Jim Falconer, Art Green, Karl Wirsum and Suellen Rocca---all artists in simpatico with Bay Area art thinkin’. These posters were made for the exhibits, the 1968 exhibit which seems to be titled:  Hairy Who Preview! And a 1970 show: Surplus Slop From the Windy City. And in 1969 Linhares orchestrated a Gladys Nilsson solo exhibition at the short lived SFAI Gallery at 631 Clay Street.
