1965 Charles Boone, John Cage's Water Music, Diego Rivera Gallery

Charles Boone, “composer, musicologist,” and beloved SFAI faculty member 1990s through 2000s, performed John Cage’s Water Music, November 29, 1965 in the Diego Rivera Gallery as part of the Composer’s Forum Concert “which delighted the crowd...with duck whistles, junk-filled piano, water poured back and forth from bucket to bucket, and the aleatory element of a radio tuned to random stations. Good old Cage.” [SF Chronicle, review, December 1, 1965].
