Ray Boynton’s 1927 California School of Fine Arts dedication encaustic mural painting by the courtyard commemorated the first 56 years of SFAI, 1871-1927 and celebrated its new building designed by Arthur Brown. Boyton also taught mural painting in the 1920s at the School and did murals in the Anne Bremer Memorial Library.
