We are a non-profit organization run by San Francisco Art Institute alumni, promoting a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive creative community. We build upon SFAI's 150-year alumni legacy with a commitment to SFAI's core values of critical thinking, artistic exploration, and personal expression.
Background & Purpose
Due to COVID-19 and financial reasons, SFAI is proposing limited enrollment for Fall 2020. The alumni have decided to proactively organize and coordinate support to help students and the school. The purpose is to foster loyalty and promote the general welfare of the school’s alumni community. The goal is to strengthen the ties with alumni, the SFAI community, the board of trustees, faculty and leadership of the San Francisco Art Institute.
This is an alumni organization run by alumni for alumni. We see a vision for a thriving, collaborative SFAI community of artists and arts professionals coming together to support one another professionally, academically and artistically. We see a community that is open, transparent and authentic. We see the association and relationship with the school as a way of life. We see a community of all graduating classes from all eras. We want to convey that it is not about money and that we are here to extend the concept of SFAI as a living legacy of creative expression and professional support to the alumni community and beyond.
