Labor and Immigration are intertwined and are part of multiple societal systems—as people take journeys to find work, sustenance and better opportunities. Even in domestic settings people often travel for long distances and change lifestyles for a better tomorrow. How does immigrating to a new location change your life? Are there objects that represent that labor and convention to coming and going, the movement that is in most of our lives. How do you translate your life experiences related to labor and immigration?

Panel Discussion with Artists

On June 19th, 10 AM PDT, SFAA Exhibitions & Program Lead Beth Davila Waldman will lead a Zoom talk discussion with five of the participating artists about their works. Stay tuned!
